Announcement.

Hey there, folks. I know it’s been a while since I reblogged or posted anything, until today anyway. Buuuut the reason why I’ve not been active here is because I have created a new blog and have been spending more time over there more so than here. I just felt the need for a fresh new start, so I created a new blog, where it’ll be a bit different, in that it’ll be a little more professional there.

How do I mean by that? Well, it’ll be more organized, and it’ll feature some music that I’ll be playing over there, and some other fun things for me to post.

I will move some of my other blogs over there, too. I’m going to close them eventually, and move them over to the new blog as soon as things get settled over there. I’m still setting up the blog, so I’m going to keep this blog and the others up until the new one is caught up with everything that I wanted to reblog from this site onto over there.

I was going to try to message y’all one by one, but these days, I can’t take the time to do so, so here’s what I’ll do:

I’ll give y’all the link so if you want to, you can follow me over there, and…yeah. So this isn’t goodbye, it’s just…”So long, farewell, see you laaater!”.

Until then, take care, dear followers and anons!

Vote for a Buzz Lightyear of Star Command DVD Release!

blosc-rewatch:

OpenVaultDisney is a pioneer when it comes to Disney-related petitions for DVD releases. While this is nowhere near an official poll, casting our vote to show we want a DVD release for BLoSC can do nothing but boost our chances for a future release. We urge you therefore, to go here, scroll to the bottom of the page, and vote for Buzz Lightyear of Star Command!

Gravitina: I always thought you were one of a kind, Buzz Lightyear. Until I discovered him floating in the space.
Evil Buzz: At first she thought I was you.
Gravitina: But soon I discovered that he was superior, possessing the one thing you were always missing.
Buzz: Twisted heart of evil?
Gravitina: Well, actually, the stylish goatee - or is it a vandyke? I can never remember.

This is one of the most haunting photos I have ever seen. It is hundreds of wedding rings that were removed from those in Concentration Camps.
I haven’t seen a single post on my dash about it being the remembrance day of the Holocaust today so I guess it’s up to me
This is sobering.

I actually think I’m going to cry because of this

Each one of those rings represents a person. Sheesh.

This one of the most difficult images to comprehend. I mean, we all know that it happened, but this image just makes you realize the magnitude of what occurred.

…This is…haunting.

Happy Earth Day: Earthrise

One of the most famous aspects of the Apollo 8 flight was the Earthrise picture that was taken as they came around for their fourth orbit of the Moon. This was the first time that humans had taken such a picture whilst actually behind the camera, and it has been credited with a role in inspiring the first Earth Day in 1970. It was selected as the first of Life magazine’s ‘hundred photos that changed the world’.
Taken by Apollo 8 crewmember Bill Anders on December 24, 1968, showing the Earth seemingly rising above the lunar surface. Note that this phenomenon is only visible from someone in orbit around the Moon. Because of the Moon’s synchronous rotation about the Earth (i.e., the same side of the Moon is always facing the Earth), no Earthrise can be observed by a stationary observer on the surface of the Moon.

Hey there folks!

Well, I’m going to be off for the weekend visiting family. I won’t be leaving until tomorrow, but I have to do various things, like homework and packing before I head out. I’ll try to be on later, but if I’m not, don’t take it personally, alright? See you folks later!
